In the blink of an eye, another year has come and gone. As usual, there were quite a few tornadoes to track in 2022. Many stunning ones were captured by enthusiasts as well as those unlucky enough to go head-to-head near home.
All years: 2022 | 2021 | 2020 | 2019 | 2018 | 2017 | 2016 | 2015 | 2014 | 2013 | 2012
Much like recent years, the worst of the weather compared to usual was generally over parts of the South, with lower than typical tornado activity in the Plains. Some of the year’s biggest events happened after dark, and many occurred in areas unfavorable to imagery.
Although we have historically called this the best tornado videos of the year, it may be more accurately a compilation of the most memorable twisters of the year. If we missed anything key, please let us know in the comments!
