It’s our tenth year of perusing a ton of tornado videos to present the best of the year. 2021 was one of the trickier ones given the large amount of great tornado video. Even cutting it to 20 was difficult!
That’s an interesting fact, since much of the year was quieter than normal, particularly in the classic tornado alley of the Plains.

Other regions, like the mid-Atlantic and northeast, saw elevated tornado activity, though finding twisters to shoot in those regions is often a tricky endeavor. Then there was the historic December, featuring mainly nighttime tornadoes.
The storms that did produce this year often did so in spectacular ways. You’ll probably get lost in this post for a bit!
