With little to no storm action in sight today, we headed north to get in position for Friday’s chase.
The abysmal pattern shows no sign of letting up anytime soon, but Friday should at least yield some strong to severe storms in the northern Plains. Things calm down for the weekend, then weak upslope flow will probably yield some thunderstorm activity across the High Plains next week.
Here’s hoping that the models start to show something more interesting for our second week. I already have to use pictures from our previous chase days to fill in on the down days.
