In our fourth season of storm chasing, Nebraska still refuses to give us a tornado. However, Nebraska was kind enough to give us an amazing supercell that rolled along I-80 in the far western part of the state for quite some time. We tracked it past nightfall, getting plenty of pictures and video during the several hours spent trying to stay ahead of it.
Ian put up a gallery of our images and video from the past two days on the Capital Weather Gang blog if you want to see more from the first two chase days of our chasecation.
Today we don’t have to go very far to hit our target for today’s storms in the central High Plains. While the supercells have been quite spectacular so far, it would be nice to get some tornadoes while we’re out here, too!
