Like last year, Ian Livingston, James (JT) Hyde and I will drive out to the Plains for two weeks of storm chasing. I will be posting daily to this site during the trip, highlighting what we see and where we’re going. Coming off the great success of last year’s trip, we are keeping expectations realistic in that this year will likely not be as good as last year.
We leave today and will take our time heading out west since the first chase day will likely be Sunday in the northern High Plains. There appears to be a handful of marginal setups next week, and while not ideal for seeing a bunch of tornadoes and supercells, marginal setups favor chasecationers like us who will probably have less of a crowd to deal with.
In addition to our main Twitter account and our Facebook page, you can also follow our personal Twitter accounts listed below:

We will also be broadcasting our GPS on Spotter Network under Mark Ellinwood when we’re actively chasing, but there will be no live streaming.
