Today has a great setup to chase tornadoes in Kansas, and we’re on our way south from Kearney, Nebraska to get to the target area. Hoping to get a tornado today as it has been about a week since our last one. We’re not complaining, though, because the last two days have produced some incredible structure that will be difficult to top in the coming days and even future chasecations.
Here’s an example from yesterday that captures the mothership, sunset and brilliant CG lightning from yesterday’s storm near Arcadia, NE:
Ian and James got some spectacular shots on their cameras. Below are two shots from Ian.
The structure was as good or better than the storm from the day before. Incredible lightning, striking mammatus all around and a three-tiered mothership. Not much more that you could ask for. Well, besides a tornado, anyway.
