I chose these videos — what I consider to be the top 10 tornadoes caught on security cam — to show the versatility of surveillance solutions. Granted, the cameras that caught the tornadoes presented here had a different goal when initially installed. But as you can see below, these cameras can often go beyond their intended purpose. And sometimes, with a little luck, you can get a glimpse at something that otherwise might have gone unseen.

4. May 22, 2011 – Joplin, MO East Middle School Surveillance Footage of EF-3 Tornado
5. March 15, 2012 – Tornado surveillance Video of Dexter, MI EF-3 Tornado
6. June 1, 2011 – EF-3 Tornado Caught on Security Camera in Springfield, MA (YouTube info incorrect)
7. April 27, 2011 – Surveillance Cam Video of Ringgold, GA EF-4 Tornado
8. August 19, 2009 – EF-0 Tornado on E. Lake Street and 4th: Minneapolis, MN
9. October 26, 2010 – EF-2 Chickamauga Lock and Dam, Chattanooga, TN
10. June 5, 2010 – Surveillance Camera Captures NW Ohio EF-4 Tornado
