Mar 1, 1948
Henderson County Texas was struck by an F3 that traveled 7 miles. A car was launched 50 yards near Opelika.

Mar 1, 1997
An outbreak of tornadoes centers on Arkansas. Two F4s targeted the Benton and Little Rock areas, alone killing 15.

Mar 2, 1970
With a 25 mile path that took it from near Newton to near Marion, Kansas, an F2 damaged 9 farm homes.

Mar 2, 1989
Fresno, California saw a brief touchdown from an F0 tornado in the northeast part of the city.

Mar 3, 1944
An F3 with a 15 mi path passed through the south part of Hugo, Oklahoma. 30 homes were destroyed and 35 injured.

Mar 3, 1966
An F5 passed through Jackson, Mississippi. It is believed to have traveled 200 miles into Alabama. 58 were killed.

Mar 4, 1935
An F2 with a 10 mile path hit Kaufman County, Texas. Almost every home in Forney was damaged. 2 killed, 15 injured.

Mar 4, 1944
An F3 tornado traveled 30 miles from near Pennington Gap Virginia, into elevations above 4k feet to “Flatwoods”. 32 were injured.

Mar 5, 1943
San Augustine, Texas was hit by a downburst and an F2 tornado. The tornado cut a 3 block wide damage area and injured 8.

Mar 5, 1963
Birmingham, Alabama barely averted a direct hit from an F4 tornado. 29 buildings were destroyed at Bessemer.

Mar 6, 1945
Two homes and a warehouse were destroyed near Jessieville, Arkansas by an F2 tornado.

Mar 6, 1961
The south side of Kokomo, Indiana was hit by an F3 tornado. 20 homes were severely damaged and one person was killed.

Mar 7, 1922
An F3 tornado moved from near the Georgia border through Warrenville, #SC. 22 homes were destroyed and 5 killed.

Mar 7, 2008
Lake City, Florida took a direct hit from an EF2 tornado. Damages reached $4 million, with 1 killed and 5 injured.

Mar 8, 1909
An outbreak, including 7 F2+ tornadoes, hit Arkansas. One, an F4, killed 49 while destroying much of Brinkley.

Mar 8, 1976
An F3 tracked through parts of Alvin, Texas to the southeast of Houston. Two homes and 14 trailers were destroyed.

Mar 9, 1949
An F2 traveled 5 miles through Beauregard Parish in Louisiana, damaging 15 homes and destroying a barn.

Mar 9, 1964
A tornado rated at F3 struck Whitehead, Alabama. Two houses were destroyed, with one death in each.
